One of a Kind piece
Beautiful sterling silver Navajo bolo tie featuring a horse.
The horse is an emblematic animal of the American West, it is a symbol of freedom, travel and earthly strength.
This bolo tie is made using an ancestral Navajo jewelry technique known as Tufa Cast:
The artist takes a mold of volcanic stone (tufa) and divides it into two parts. One part is carved with a motif of his choice, into which he pours molten silver. The second part covers this pattern and is firmly attached to the first. Once the silver has hardened, the piece is removed from the mold, which usually breaks, creating a unique piece. The resulting jewel has rough aspect clearly showing the asperity of the tufa.
From Western movies to runway shows, the bolo tie is an emblematic accessory of the Southwest of the USA. In everyday life, the bolo tie will accessorize your outfit with strength and originality and on your Sunday's best outfit it can be a strong and good replacement for a tie or necklace.
