Navajo bracelet with five Kingman turquoises (Arizona) set in sterling silver.

This beautiful bracelet is emblematic of Navajo jewelry in many ways:

The turquoises are hand-cut and polished into lovely oval shapes and set in fine serrated settings. 

Silver leaves frame the row of turquoises : it is an element made in a Native American silversmithing technique called Applique. The leaves are carved onto thin silver plates and then soldered onto the bracelet's frame, creating an attractive relief. Fine silver lassos can also be seen running the length of the bracelet, evoking the taming of turquoises. 

The artist has added the final touch to this beautiful jewel, stamping it entirely with fine Natives patterns.
