Superb Zuni belt buckle in sterling silver inlaid of lapis lazuli.

Called "Ranger Buckle", this type of belt buckle is a timeless piece of the Cowboy/Western culture.

This belt buckle is a signature piece, representative of a very beautiful work of inlay : one can appreciate here the finesse and geometry of the "channel inlay", a marquetry technique in which hand-cut stones (here, lapis lazuli) are compartmentalized by small silver bars. The whole is then polished to a smooth and elegant finish. 
 

Width of the buckle: 3,9cm (1 inch 1/2)

This belt buckle is made in sterling silver.

Fits a leather width of 2cm
