Unique piece - Pueblo Jemez Pottery
This clay pottery colored with natural pigments represents a Koshari (Kachina clown), an essential element of some celebrations. As an embodiment of the ancestors, we easily recognize him thanks to its black and white stripes, reminding the skeleton.
This clown is the funny element of these too-serious (in his opinion) ceremonies. He gently disrupts the rituals by talking loudly, laughing hard, eating noisily and making fun of some Hopi habits.
