Christmas tree decoration - Navajo crafts

This charming Christmas bauble is a handmade pottery, representative of the style of pottery created by the Navajo, called “etched pottery”.

The potters who make etched pottery shape those baubles and then paint them in beautiful colors (usually gradations of complementary tones). These pieces are then hand-engraved with natural or geometric motifs 

Each bauble is unique, and the artist signs his or her work.
