Beautiful Zuni earrings entirely set with small Sleeping Beauty turquoises (Arizona) on sterling silver.

Each earring features two stunning Cactus Flowers (a well-known symbol of Native American jewelry). Imagine the precise and meticulous work required to hand-carved each of these turquoises into a teardrop shape and mount it in a serrated setting. This silversmithing technique is known as Needle Point, a great name for this ancestral process in which Zuni artists excel.

The Sleeping Beauty turquoise is beautiful, emblematic and rare. As the mine is no longer in operation, the artists work with stocks that only allow them to work this turquoise in small volumes.
