These magnificent Zuni earrings are Cactus Flower (rosette shape) made of Kingman (Arizona) turquoise, accompanied by a Najas, all set on a solid silver mount.

These earrings embody the traditional craftsmanship of Zuni jewelry. The turquoise stones are encircled by a delicate silver cord, evoking a lasso, a symbol in Native culture of the way a stone is tamed, like a wild animal.

Made using the Needle Point technique, each piece is composed of stones meticulously cut in the shape of drops, baguettes or small dots, creating an effect of great finesse.

Najas, often found as pendants in traditional Squash Blossom necklaces, recall the shape of a horseshoe. A protective talisman in Zuni culture, it lends a touch of spirituality to these earrings.
