Turtle
The turtle is an emblematic animal of the Native American culture.
It is considered as the mother of the Earth: indeed, according to the Iroquois and the Sioux, the Earth rests on the back of a tortoise which is at the origin of the beginning of the world.
The turtle is also a symbol of knowledge, longevity, love and protection.
She is particularly considered as the protector of newborns by guiding their coming into the world.
