Navajo brooch.

Sterling silver dragonfly made with the overlay technique, with body and wings beautifully chiseled of Natives patterns.

The overlay is an emblematic process including a background soldered to another like-sized piece with a cutout design. The silver background is then oxidized and scratched to bring out contrast between the two pieces.

The dragonfly represents illusion, the need for change and it is the symbol of wind and dexterity.
