Overlay Hopi pendant in sterling silver representing Sunface.
 

Sunface is the sacred Sun Father. Symbol of life, it is omnipresent in Native's culture.

The overlay is an emblematic process including a background soldered to another like-sized piece with a cutout design. The silver background is then oxidized and scratched to bring out contrast between the two pieces.
