Naja in sterling silver set with Sleeping Beauty turquoise (Arizona).

The Naja recalls the shape of a horseshoe and is found on Navajo necklaces as a protective talisman.
 

Najas can be produced in a variety of styles, depending on the artist who creates them. Here, the Naja's central point is reminiscent of the fleur-de-lis, a symbol borrowed and reinterpreted from European colonial times, and its ends are shaped like hands.
