Stunning Navajo ring

This sterling silver ring is inlaid with beautiful Sonoran turquoise (Arizona) and Carico Lake turquoise (Nevada).

Inlay is a Native jewelry-making process, mastered by the Zuni tribe, but here carefully crafted by a Navajo silversmith: genuine gemstones (Sonoran turquoise in this case, known for its gorgeous shades of sky-blue to mint-green), are cut and assembled by hand to create a geometric pattern. The whole is polished to a smooth, elegant finish.

This type of marquetry is called "channel inlay" and can be recognized by the fine silver bars that compartmentalize the stones.

Width: 0.6cm
(0.1/4 inch)

This ring is in sterling silver.

A Navajo creation, proudly handmade in the USA.
