One of a Kind piece
You are looking at an exceptional ring born from the imagination of three renowned artists:
Pete & Dinah Gasper, Pueblo artists known for their talent as fetish sculptors, and Aaron Toadlena, a Navajo silversmith known for his sterling silver and stone jewelry adorned of many details (stamps, repousse, reliefs...).
The Gasper couple cut and polished this hand in turquoise.
A. Toadlena mounted it in a closed setting surrounded by a thin silver cord (reminiscent of a lasso) and soldered it to a silver ring, which he stamped all over with a personal punch.
The hand is an important symbol in Toadlena's work and life. He is a member of the "Five fingers clan" and his signature features an open left hand.
This ring, as original as it is remarkable, will fit the finger of someone who is just as original! :-)
Hand dimensions (L x W): 3.6cm x 2.4cm
This ring is in sterling silver 925/1000e.
A Pueblo and Navajo creation, proudly handcrafted in the USA.
