BA1437 inlay and silver ring Harpo

This beautiful Zuni ring is made of an inlay of black-jet, mother-of-pearl, coral and Sleeping Beauty turquoise (Arizona), set on sterling silver.

Inlay is a meticulous process emblematic of the Zuni's silversmiths: stones are cut and assembled by hand to create a pattern (geometric or figurative). The whole is then polished to a smooth and elegant finish. It's a high-end process, and the result is of unparalleled finesse.

The design on this ring is emblematic of the artist's style, reminiscent of the shapes usually found on Native weaving.
