Navajo ring featuring a Sonoran turquoise (Arizona) set in sterling silver.

This ring is representative of Navajo jewelry: the turquoise is surrounded by a thin cord, reminiscent of a lasso. For Navajo jewelers, the stone must be tamed like a wild animal.
