Beautiful Navajo ring inlaid with White Buffalo stone (Nevada), jet and opal, set in sterling silver.

This beautiful inlay original: marquetry is a Native American jewelry-making technique developed by the Zuni tribe. It's a process in which turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl and jet are hand-cut to compose a geometric or realistic design. This inlay differs from the Zuni process in that the Navajo artist used other materials: the black of the jet contrasts with the marbled white of the White Buffalo, and the opal illuminates the whole. 

The inlay is then polished for a smooth, soft touch.

The result is an incomparable ring with an original cachet.
