Navajo ring set with a Sonoran turquoise (Arizona) set in sterling silver.

The turquoise is mounted in a serrated setting and framed by four small silver spheres that highlight the stone.

This ring is made using the Applique technique, an emblematic feature of Navajo jewelry. This technique can be recognized by the shell shapes that frame the turquoise: they are chiseled out of thin silver plates and then soldered onto the ring.
