MIS10 Concho belt in leather and mat silver

One of a Kind collector's piece

This superb Concho belt circa 1950 is in genuine cow leather and composed of exceptionnal handmade silver conchos and butterflies, thanks to repousse and stamped techniques. 

We can see the typical handcraft of the 50's through numerous details that will catch the eye of the experts and the collectors: 

The leather has tanned throughout the years. The conchas and butterflies are in perfect condition and have this amazing dark tone that silver takes over the time. Only one of the conchas has a turquoise on its center and the buckle has been patched with some deer skin: these are many evidences that his owner wanted to keep his belt and modify it over the years.

This belt is not just an exceptional item. It is at the image of the Native American's lifestyle: strong, even when facing adversity.
