One of a Kind piece - Collector's item
Artist : Aaron Toadlena
Winner of the 1st Prize of Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial in 2010 thanks to this beautiful brooch.
This exceptional Navajo brooch represents a frog with its legs spread out, as if it were doing a braststroke movement. The artist made it entirely in sterling silver and set its body and eyes with beautiful turquoise N°8 (Nevada).
The artist has taken care to make every detail of the thighs and webbed legs by finely stamping them with various details. Its head is composed of two curved parts welded together, creating a cavity in which a small serpentine silver rod is soldered: a small tongue, reminiscent of the chameleon one's.
The N°8 turquoise is impressively beautiful with its grey matrix on a pretty light pastel blue.
Dimensions (H x L x W in mm): 22mm x 82mm x 44mm
